Jane Consulting was created out of my desire to simplify the process of driving revenue for small businesses. My goal is to help your small business thrive and that is how I developed the Assess. Empower. Grow. Model
Assess.
No two businesses are alike so why treat them the same? This is the guiding principle behind the assess step of the model. I have seen far too many times to count where marketers come in with a zeal to drive traffic, convert leads and decrease ad spend only to have it result in small revenue increases. The reason the marketing efforts work but they don’t translate into real revenue is because little to no consideration was given to how your buyers buy and how your sellers sell.
To combat this, the assess step analyzes the following aspects of your business:
- The solution(s) you offer, market positioning, and your unique value drivers
- The processes, technology, rules and SLAs you leverage within your marketing, sales and client experience teams.
- The metrics you are currently achieving related to traffic, lead conversion, average sale, time to close, contact touchpoints and more.
- The marketing initiatives you currently implement. These include content, social media, email marketing, events and advertising strategies.
- Your buyer’s journey and how your ideal customers interact with your team during each phase of their path to purchasing.
Empower.
Once an understanding is developed of how things are currently being done, the empower step focuses on the ways to reduce the friction your teams face and the ways to increase force to the sales process strategically.
Some recommendations for empowerment may include:
- Automating manual data entry or lead nurturing workflows
- Simplifying task list to double down on the areas that are producing results
- Building a content library for all teams to easily access the content that can be used for attracting, converting and delighting your ideal customers
- Increasing paid and organic traffic to pages that convert
Again, it is importation to remember, every business is different so your exact recommendations will relate to the current state of your business and your goals for growth.
Grow.
This is the fun part. Watch your implementations result in real revenue generation. Steady growth is the goal and that is what will happen as you consistently implement the recommendations and reassess as your goals and business evolve.
